Fantastic beasts on the trail

There are countless stories of fantastic beasts in mythologies and cultures around the world. In Norway many of these creatures are mostly inspired by nature. In the old days people would tell horrible stories about scary and mystical creatures in order to keep the children away from dangerous areas.

Imaginary beasts can be found everywhere: in fairy tales, in art and in film. Fantorangen is one good example from Norway. Fantastic beasts stir the imagination of both children and adults.
